A sworn law enforcement first line supervisory position within the OCPS District Police portfolio charged with delivering emergency management, law enforcement, and safety and security services in an assigned region. As a state certified police officer within the OCPS District Police, the incumbent is responsible for the investigation, pursuit, apprehension and arrest of law violators or suspected law violators. Employees in this class will be responsible for supervising police officers engaged in various law enforcement activities, managing security personnel engaged in numerous security activities and/or serving in assigned capacities within specialized law enforcement functions.
To provide direction and leadership in the area of custodial services so that all students and district employees have a safe, clean and effective environment in which to learn and work.
To plan, develop, communicate, implement, and monitor the annual school district operating and capital budget including the ten-year capital outlay plan.
Responsible for the administration, management, and accountability of the School District’s tangible personal property. The position is responsible for audit issue resolution, providing recommendations, creation/implementation of new electronic inventory auditing procedures, and interpreting state and local guidelines to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. To ensure timely and accurate creation of asset records, timely management and resolution of errors, surplus and exceptions; and resolution of departmental/school issues.
To enhance the learning potential for disabled students and facilitate the student’s adaptation to the educational environment and to ensure that recommendations, interventions, and communication embody the principle that all students can succeed and learn using their knowledge of sensory and perceptual development in the continuum of learning.
