To support OCPS schools in strengthening school climate and culture by developing and leading high-quality professional learning, coaching instructional leaders and resource teachers, and utilizing data to drive continuous improvement in student engagement, behavior, and academic outcomes. This role provides direct support to schools, builds leadership capacity, and ensures alignment with district priorities and the OCPS Instructional Framework.
QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction and ability to utilize assessment results to inform instruction for improved student achievement. Knowledge of organization and management theory and practice. Knowledge and commitment to shared decision-making and accountability for results. Knowledge of analysis and data gathering techniques and the ability to use technology to facilitate use of data in any format needed by individual schools. Ability to work and communicate effectively with people to focus resources (both human and financial) toward the achievement of district expectations. Ability to facilitate group processes in consensus building, conflict resolution, planning and decision-making. Understands that quality teaching and learning are the essential processes of public schools and has the ability to focus human and financial resources toward this end. Knowledge of evidence-based practices related to school climate and culture, including student engagement, behavior supports, and welcoming school environments. Ability to lead adult learning and facilitate professional learning communities at the school and district level.

∗ Conduct impact reviews of Access & Opportunity initiatives and make recommendations for needed changes to the Director of Access & Opportunity.
∗ Create coherent systems of support based on student needs, encompassing academic learning.
∗ Provide leadership and supervision of Access & Opportunity programs and initiatives focusing on concurrent data strategy, analysis, and reporting to achieve program goals.
∗ Conduct ongoing stakeholder engagement to determine data needs and gather feedback on the initiatives and programs.
∗ Develop professional learning opportunities to mitigate implicit bias and promote cultural responsiveness, proficiency, and competence, as well as increase understanding of historically marginalized populations.
∗ Ensure that all professional development models’ best practices and the OCPS Instructional Framework.
∗ Assist school leadership teams to monitor and maintain consistency with district, state and federal mandates, policies and guidelines.
∗ Serve as a liaison between Access & Opportunity, the schools and appropriate learning cadre staff.
∗ Identify the department's role in supporting schools, learning cadres, and the district in achieving district priorities, with a focus on fostering a positive school climate and culture.
∗ Provide technical assistance and support to school staff in implementing the district-wide assessment system.
∗ Collaborate and assist schools in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting individual and group test scores for data-driven decision-making, specifically related to school climate and culture.
∗ Disseminate and communicate state and district information related to accountability, academic standards, and assessment systems.
∗ Follow the district’s policies and procedures as related to all HRMD guidelines and the district’s instructional initiatives.
∗ Follow the district’s policies and procedures as related to fixed assets.
∗ Develop leadership in subordinates.
∗ Responsible for keeping up to date on current technology being used by OCPS. With the support of the district, attends training to ensure skill level in various technologies is at the level required to perform in current position.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Non-bargaining unit compensation plan, twelve months, 8.0 hours per day.
